In the field of the management of artistic and cultural assets, the Department of Molecular Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Experimental Medicine, oversees the Interdepartmental Library of Experimental and Molecular Medicine. This library was established following the reorganization of the departments at Sapienza University and is the result of the merger of several libraries. The library comprises three branches, including the one located in the History of Medicine building, founded in the 1930s by Adalberto Pazzini. It holds a rich bibliographic and documentary heritage, including approximately 3,000 volumes published before 1830. The library participates in the digitization project conducted by Google and coordinated by the Sapienza Library System. The digitized volumes are accessible through the Sapienza catalog. Several personal scientific archives are annexed to the library, documenting the history of Italian biomedicine between the 19th and 20th centuries. While it serves a specialized user base, it also includes a reading room that is widely used by students.
